The Personnel Security Branch is responsible for making final determinations regarding an employee’s suitability to occupy a sensitive position and/or eligibility for access to classified national security information.
Personnel Security Goals: Continue modernization of the web-based Security Entry Tracking System (webSETS) Personnel Security database. Provide support and guidance on HSPD-12. Continue to build the electronic personnel security filing system and tool (eSEC) to receive background investigations electronically from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Strive to meet personnel security processing and adjudication goals set by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
