USDA has the fourth largest motor vehicle fleet (only US Postal Service, GSA and DoD are larger).  USDA owns and operates approximately 34,000 vehicles (nationwide and in approximately 50 foreign locations).  This fleet is supplemented with more than 6,000 GSA leased vehicles.  Trucks account for more than 90% of the fleet.  The total acquisition value of our fleet is more than $500 Million. USDA loans approximately 22,000 pieces of fleet equipment to state and local governments. USDA owns and operates approximately 25,000 pieces of special purpose equipment including:  all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, trailers, construction equipment, tree shakers, and lady bug catchers.
