Background
Our Objective
We will protect and improve the environment by promoting and encouraging activities that reduce green house gas emissions.
Our Goals
- To Educate USDA employees on their impacts to the environment with respect to green house gases and transportation
- To provide tools to encourage alternative means of transportation.
Programs
USDA supports programs that improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion, by encouraging carpooling, use of mass transit systems, telecommuting opportunities, and encouraging green meetings and conferences. More information about these programs is available at the following sites:
