The Federal Government has high standards and high expectations for its employees. To help achieve and maintain these high standards, all Federal employees are required to complete certain training.
Below are the three training courses that you must review prior to your first day.
- Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior Training
Review the course "USDA Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior Training”. You will be tested on this material on your first day. There is no certificate for this course; you must take and pass the test. Passing the test is required to access your email and other computer systems in USDA.
Here at the USDA we pride ourselves on the fact that our employees work diligently to meet both the letter and the spirit of the ethics laws and regulations. In order to become well-versed on these rules and regulations, ethics training is essential. By continuing our tradition of compliance with Federal ethics regulations, we ensure the public's confidence in the integrity and effectiveness of our programs. All new employees nationwide must complete "Orientation Ethics" training. Further information can be obtained from the
Office of Ethics website.
- US Constitution
When you start working for the Federal Government, you take an oath to uphold the
Constitution of the United States. This mandatory training provides a quick refresher about the Constitution. There is no training certificate at the end of this course. Just read through the materials and print the last page. Date and sign it and bring it with you on your first day at USDA.
