OSEC/OCIO Reading Room

The Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments (E-FOIA) signed into law in 1996 amended the Freedom of Information Act, adding a requirement that agencies had to establish an electronic reading room.

You may make a FOIA request by one of the following methods:

Please include the following information in your request:

  • Today's date
  • Name (first and last name)
  • Address (street, city, state and zip)
  • Phone number
  • Fax number (if available)
  • Electronic mail address (if available)
  • A detailed description of the requested material (please include a time frame if applicable)
  • A statement indicating your willingness to pay the fees associated with processing the request or a fee waiver if meeting the criteria set forth in Section 6 (a)(1) of 7 CFR Part 1, Appendix A
