Feds Feed Families

In a  Nov 2, 2010 ceremony, USDA employees gathered 432,384 pounds of food at Department of Agriculture collection sites across the country. This averages to four pounds per USDA employee nationwide. Approximately one pound of food - equals one meal. The employees took the task to the fifth power, living up to their expanded name: Feds, Farmers and Friends Feed Families. SDA raised nearly 100 times more food than last year's food drive.
