USDA Whitten Building

As part of USDA’s Active Shooter Training Program, an instructor-led on-site version was developed to assist requesting agencies. While instructor-led training incurs some costs (e.g. travel outside the National Capitol Region (NCR)), there are many benefits. The training format compliments the AgLearn on-line course because it facilitates the dissemination of other relevant information and in a setting where participants can interact and ask questions. The results also promote a workforce that is better prepared in the event of an active incident.

Any USDA Agency/Organization interested in requesting training or additional information can contact:

John (J.T.) Stroud, Active Shooter Program Manager / Instructor
OHSEC Office of the Director

Mailing Address:
USDA South Building, Suite 1457
1400 Independence Avenue, SW
Washington, DC 20250

Phone:(202) 230-3155

Instructor costs associated with delivery of this on-site training will be the responsibility of the requesting Agency/Organization.

This is an AgLearn accredited course and credit will be awarded to all USDA employees who complete the training.
