Rural Small Business Connection Event

Hosted by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization

Tallahassee, Florida
May 4, 2016

In support of Secretary Vilsack’s implementation of President Obama’s agenda to put Americans back to work and create an economy built to last, the Department of Agriculture (USDA) will host Rural Small Business Connections. This training event will provide small businesses with a series of educational networking sessions and opportunities on how to build capacity and successfully do business with USDA and other Federal agencies.

The Rural Small Business Connections is designed to provide small businesses and small farmer-owned cooperatives with the exposure and insight to increase small business contracting participation with the Federal government. Conference attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a full day of learning discussions led by program and small business procurement officials from USDA, and other Federal agencies.

Agriculture is just not food! USDA purchases construction/repairs of highways and office buildings, professional support services, vaccines, lab equipment, IT products/services, janitorial supplies, administrative support services, land-treatment supplies, fire prevention control, aviation, tree thinning, and the list goes on and on!

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Perry Paige Auditorium – Florida A&M University, 1740 South Martin Luther King. Jr. Boulevard Tallahassee, Florida 32307
