The Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) sponsors a series of Small Business Vendor (VOS) community outreach sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to provide the small business community the opportunity to meet with the OSDBU Specialists to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. OSDBU Specialists are located in each contracting office and are responsible for carrying out the small business program in their respective agencies.
The information on the following pages show in broad categories types of goods and services that USDA agencies procure in support of their programs, the various agency contracting activities, the major groups of products and services purchased and the agency contact(s).
Vendors must schedule an appointment in advance, with the individual Specialist(s). A listing of Specialists and their telephone numbers is provided. Appointments are limited to 15 minutes to allow all vendors an equal opportunity to introduce their company.
Due to the partial government shutdown, the Vendor Outreach Session on October 9, 2013, was canceled and will not be rescheduled.
Also, due to a scheduling problem, the Vendor Outreach Session on December 11, 2013, is canceled. No other sessions are scheduled for the remainder of the year. We will resume these sessions next year. Please check this website for updates on the date and location of the next session.
It is anticipated that the sessions will be scheduled on a monthly basis. Please check the website periodically for the specific date. Any changes will be posted to the website. There is no cost to attend.
